I have been interested in inflation for a long time. In general, the conclusion of my work is that inflation is bad. But, apparently, I have been too much of a pessimist, and not just because inflation greases some wheels:

"In the end, inflation saves us from Boltzmann’s brain,” Dr. Albrecht said, while admitting that the calculations were contentious. (New York Times, 15/1/2008).
